Solus Power Secures British Government Department Approval

Highlights
New York: New York - Marbanc International portfolio company Solus Power - a London headquartered battery technology business - has been officially approved by the UK Defence and Security Exports (UKSDE), enabling Solus Power to showcase its products to international Government and military delegates.
The approval granted in late 2024 has enabled Solus Power to advance its ties with industry and Government departments including the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) in recent months. The approval has meant the Export Support Team (EST) of the MoD will promote Solus Power's Krator battery product as a breakthrough global defence solution.
Michael Molloy, Construction, Logistics & Infrastructure Adviser at the UK Defence & Security Exports, stated:
"Our mission at the UKDSE is to identify, support and promote game-changing British innovation that will make a significant impact on the global defence and security landscape…we are delighted to showcase Solus Power and its Kratos battery solution as part of our portfolio of products.”
Marbanc International invested in Solus Power in early 2024 via its Australian subsidiary as part of its focus on growth companies and forward-thinking technology solution providers. With global military expenditure rising to a record high of $2.46 trillion in 2024, an increase of 7.4% in real terms^, the group identified an established, reputable business with strong growth prospects and opportunities to develop commercial relationships at British Government level to bolster Solus Power's growth plans.
Solus Power has developed a range of portable battery chargers capable of supplying power to vehicles, drones and other military and non-military equipment for extended periods.
The company's CEO, Stas Leonidou, stated:
“The demand for power as militaries move towards electrification has grown exponentially. Our ruggedised battery technology has been created to solve the challenges of supply, self-sufficiency and sustainability, while crucially maintaining operational advantage.
“This strategic support from UKDSE is a powerful validation of our product and strengthens our position in the future of defence.”
