MELBOURNE: AUSTRALIA - Marbanc International Corporation’s Australian subsidiary, Income Direct Australia Pty Ltd, has issued proceedings in the Supreme Court of New South Wales against Westpac Banking Corporation alleging breach of contract and suing for damages for suspending access to one of the company’s bank accounts.

In the proceeding filed in December 2025, Income Direct alleges Westpac breached its contractual obligations by suspending and continuing to suspend the company’s access to a business deposit account. The claim seeks a declaration that Westpac did not have a proper basis to impose the freeze and a mandatory injunction reinstating access to the account.

Income Direct’s Executive Director, Gerard Sivaprasad said “Income Direct has issued this claim against Westpac to protect the interests of our business and our clients. We look forward to the matter being resolved before the courts.”
